What this is
Rim & Bay is a small editorial desk that publishes field guides and short notes on Singapore — the wheel above Marina Bay, the water beneath it, and the streets beyond. It exists for one reason: the city rewards travellers who understand it, and most travel writing about it is quietly trying to sell you a queue.
The guides are written primarily for travellers from the Gulf — Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and the Emirates — because that is the audience the desk knows, and because Singapore suits the way Gulf families travel: short hops, family pacing, halal food everywhere, evenings outdoors.
How we work
Every guide is walked before it is written and revisited before it is updated. When we describe a route, we have timed it; when we recommend an hour of day, we have stood in it. Descriptions stay generic where they should — we write about the wheel, the bay, the hawker centres — and specific where it helps, like the unwritten rules of the MRT or the tissue-packet politics of a lunch crowd.
What we don't do
No ticket sales, no affiliate links, no sponsored placement, no "best of" rankings bought by the listed. We are not affiliated with any attraction, operator or authority — and nothing on these pages is for sale, including the attention of our readers.
Corrections
Cities change faster than websites. If a fact in any guide has aged — a rerouted line, a closed stall, a renamed street — tell us and we will fix it. Corrections and field reports reach the desk at [email protected], or through the contact page.
